Research at Salford

Research activity informs all of our teaching: staff publish in areas related to the modules they teach, ensuring that students have access to the most recent ideas and approaches in their specialist fields.

Our research engages with English language literatures written in all major periods from the Medieval to the present day. We have particular strengths in popular print media; Holocaust poetry; women’s writing; Irish studies; creative writing; and English language variation and change.
